Open MY COMPUTER
> Open CONTROL PANEL > Open NETWORK
Under PRIMARY NETWORK LOGON use "Windows Log-on" > Double
click on TCP/IP
Under WINS CONFIGURATION "disable" WINS Resolution > Under
DNS CONFIGURATION "disable" DNS
Open MY COMPUTER >
In Dial-up Networking, double click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION
Enter Chinook as the name of the computer you are dialing
Enter (403) 692-0723(for
56k V.90) > After creating a new icon for Chinook, right click on the
new icon and select PROPERTIES > Under SERVER TYPES, make sure that
all the
ADVANCED OPTIONS are DISABLED > Log on to Network > Enable software
compression > Require encrypted password
In ALLOWED PROTOCOLS,
make sure that you disable > NetBEUi > IPX/SPX Compatible
DNS settings for all
Chinook Dial-up clients
Primary Name Server > 208.38.16.78
Secondary Name Server >208.38.16.66
