| Here is a side view with the Maxtor/Quantum drive installed. |
 |
| Here is a different view of the drive and hot swap bay
carrier. Our arrow is pointing at the SCA type interface on the
Maxtor/Quantum Atlas 10K III |
 |
| Here we have already attached the Intel Slim line CD ROM to
the carrier plate that comes with the Intel SR2100 Rackmount Server
chassis. My two red arrows are pointing at two recessed screws that
will hold the plate in place once you have re-positioned it inside
the SR2100. Intel in its instructions cautions that you should
install the CD-ROM drive before you install the Floppy. We concur. |
 |
| This picture shows the CD ROM on its carrier now in place in
the SR2100. Cabling is intuitive and you would have a hard time
going wrong. |
 |
| The last step was to install the 3.5" floppy.
After this the system was ready to go and we had no difficulties other
than the fault light we mentioned earlier which is related to Technical
Advisory 03006-3. Part of that process required updating the
BMC firmware. |
